As brilliant and captivating as mainstream coverage is, it is often censored by regulations and, as such, it is hard to trust the ‘honest’ opinions voiced — even the drivers themselves are censored in the way that they express themselves.

Outside The Box is driven by a love for the sport, with a desire to build a space that embraces the views of both the seasoned supporter, and those drawn in by the Netflix era, myself included. The goal is to fuel your passion for racing with content that’s thoughtful; engaging, and a little bit outside-the-box.

Expect race round-ups; driver profiles; snapshots of the history that have helped evolve the sport, and much more.

The ‘Team Principle’

I am a twenty-five year old woman with a passion for the ‘dying’ written medium, and a dream of one day working within Formula One. Since the young age of thirteen, I have produced an array of written content for publications such as Motorsport UK and The Big Issue, maintaining a number of blogs throughout.

Founding Outside The Box is my greatest journalistic adventure yet.

Reading the grid

Every post is marked with a tyre compound, which is a slightly silly way of telling you how long a read it is. Soft is a quick stint, medium is a comfortable one, and hard is a proper sit-down with a cup of tea. The archive lets you filter by compound, season and topic.
